“ 披萨(Pizza)，又译比萨饼、匹萨，是一种由特殊的酱汁和馅料做成的具有意大利风味的食品，这种食品已经超越语言与文化的障碍，成为通行的小吃，受到各国消费者的喜爱。尤其到了美国。

下面学习下在美国点披萨的时候用到的表达吧：

1. PLAIN OR CHEESE?

1、原味还是芝士？

Plain meaning without toppings is New York-area vernacular while outside New York such a pizza would be referred to as cheese.

在纽约地区方言里，用plain(原味)一词表达不加馅料的披萨;纽约之外，说这种披萨则要用cheese(芝士)一词。

2. PIECE OR SLICE?

2、一块还是一片？

Speaking of slices, in New York you can say, "I'm getting a slice," and people will know what you're talking about. However, elsewhere "piece of pizza" is preferred, and if you say "slice," you'll need to qualify it with "of pizza."

说到是一片片的披萨(slices)，在纽约你可以说I'm getting a slice(我要片披萨)，大家就知道你什么意思了。但在其它地方，你要说piece of pizza(一片披萨)，你要是说slice(一片)的话，就要说清楚是“披萨”。

3. PIE OR PIZZA?

While to east coasters, it might feel perfectly natural to say "pie" when referring to a whole pizza, not so for those in other regions. "Pie" was described by west coasters as "pretentious" and "only something someone in a movie would say".

对于东边沿海地区人而言，谈到整个披萨时说pie(派)再自然不过了，但对于其它地区却不是这样。pie一词被西部沿海地区人称为“装腔作势”，而且是“只有电影里的人会这么说”。

4. PIZZA PARLOR, PIZZA SHOP, OR PIZZERIA?

Pizza place was the most popular, followed by pizza parlor and, a close third, pizzeria.

pizza place(披萨店儿)的说法较普遍，接着是pizza parlor(披萨馆)，紧随其后的是pizzeria(披萨餐馆)。

Tip sag refers to when the tip of one's pizza slice droops down.

披萨尖儿指一片披萨馅料掉下的地方。

6. CHICAGO-STYLE

Chicago does have its own thin-crust pizza -- described as crisp and crunchy like a cracker -- which, some say, is even more popular than deep dish or stuffed.

7. PARTY-CUT OR PIE-CUT?

Party-cut means cutting in a grid, while pie-cut means cutting in triangles or wedges.

8. APIZZA

Perhaps less well-known, although no less delicious, is New Haven-style pizza, known in local vernacularas apizza.

纽黑文披萨也许没那么有名，但味道绝不逊色，方言里称之为apizza(披萨薄饼)。

9. OLD FORGE PIZZA

The most popular varieties of the Old Forge are the red, a traditional tomato sauce and cheese; the white, hold the sauce; and the black, which has cheese, black pepper, black olives, and anchovies.

方形大披萨花样丰富，较受欢迎的是：红色大披萨，是传统的番茄酱和芝士;抹了酱的白色大披萨;黑色大披萨，上面有芝士、黑胡椒黑橄榄和凤尾鱼。

10. ALL-DRESSED PIZZA

All-dressed is Montreal slang for "everything" on it. The all-dressed pizza comes with mushrooms, green peppers, and pepperoni, not literally "everything" but still a lot.

all-dressed(盛装)一词是蒙特利尔俚语，意为“应有尽有”。盛装披萨有蘑菇、青椒和意大利辣香肠，也不是“一应俱全”，但料也不少。

点餐用语：

I want a pizza for here．

我想要一张比萨饼，在这里吃。

A pizza to go.来一个外卖的比萨饼。

A：I want a pizza for here.

B: What kind of pizza do you want?

您想要那种口味的比萨饼？

I think a large pizza is enough.

我觉得一个大号的比萨饼比较合适。

I'll have a small pizza.

我想要一个小号的比萨饼。

A: What kind of pizza  is enough for three eople?

哪种比萨饼够三个人吃？

B:I think a big pizza is enough.

我觉得一个大号比萨饼就够了。
